Last week, the Maine PUC accepted bids for default (SOS) supply service for medium and large C&I customers of Central Maine Power (CMP), and for medium C&I customers of Bangor Hydro Electric (BHE). The new prices are effective for a six-month term beginning September 1, 2011.

Bids accepted were said to reflect average prices over the term of 7.2 to 7.3 cents/kWh (2 – 9 percent higher than current prices).

      Littell Gets Governor’s Nod for MPUC Commissioner

        Maine PUC Approves New Standard Offer Electric Rates

        The Maine Public Utilities Commission approved new Standard Offer Service rates for medium and large class commercial and industrial customers in the Central Maine Power and Bangor Hydro-Electric service territories.           MPUC Approves Unitil Gas Upgrade

            RESM Energy Applies for Electric Supplier License

            Yesterday, RESM Energy, LLC applied for a Maine competitive electric provider license with the Maine Public Utilities Commission. RESM plans to serve all customer classes in all service territories throughout Maine, and intends to provide off-peak power for its electric thermal storage customers.
